The Intelligent Deep-Well Physicochemical Treatment Unit is a new type of prefabricated equipment independently developed by Shanghai LEDO Industrial Co., Ltd., integrating online lifting, precision filtration, and remote water supply.

(I) Overall Equipment Description

1. Overview:

The Intelligent Deep-Well Physicochemical Treatment Unit is a new type of prefabricated equipment independently developed by Shanghai LEDO Industrial Co., Ltd., integrating online lifting, precision filtration, and remote water supply. This unit fundamentally revolutionizes the practice of the past decade, where only submersible pumps could be used for rainwater and reclaimed water supply in underground outdoor processes. It essentially solves the problems of submersible pumps’ inability to effectively utilize variable frequency drives (VFD), and end-users experiencing no water pressure or water shortage. It addresses the difficulties in maintaining buried integrated equipment and their susceptibility to flooding, changing the long-standing issues of buried filtration equipment being prone to moisture, damage, and corrosion. Utilizing principles of siphoning and deep wells, the unit is designed with comprehensive consideration for water diversion, lifting, distribution, disinfection, precision filtration, conveyance, control, assembly, central control automation, and constant-pressure intelligent water supply. The equipment features a compact footprint, is精巧美观, and is fully commissioned ex-works, including lifting, filtration, and control systems. Installation is completed with only simple connections.

2. Terminology Explanation:

  • Intelligent (智慧):​ This unit integrates VFD intelligent control technology and PLC-based HMI (Human-Machine Interface) technology. It can optionally connect directly to terminals like computers, mobile phones, or tablets for AI-driven automatic control, operation, and data transmission, hence the term “Intelligent”.
  • Deep-Well (深井):​ Originally meaning a very deep well. This unit employs the siphoning principle to achieve automatic self-priming from ground level, drawing water from a lower well for supply, hence the term “Deep-Well”.
  • Physicochemical (物化):
    • A. Refers to a philosophical concept of Zhuangzi from China’s Warring States period, describing a spiritual state where distinctions between things are obliterated, and the self and others are assimilated. The sage essentially eliminates differences and oppositions among all things, following nature and adapting to changes, thus entering the realm of “物化” (assimilation with things). Here, we treat raw water to meet the required standards, achieving the desired water quality, thus fulfilling the function of “transformation/assimilation” – hence “物化”.
    • B. In rainwater and wastewater treatment, “physicochemical methods” refer to physical and chemical methods, as opposed to biological methods. This unit uses physical and chemical methods to achieve the required filtration and disinfection functions, hence “Physicochemical”.
  • Unit (机):​ In addition to the functions described above, this equipment also integrates a water pump, water replenishment, waterproofing, and main structural support into one unit, hence the term “Unit”.

(II) Application Scope

  1. Raw Water Treatment: Lifting and filtration of river water, groundwater, rainwater, landscape water, mine water, reclaimed water.
  2. Cooling Water Treatment: Side-stream filtration for recirculating cooling water.
  3. Process Water Treatment: Pretreatment for boiler feed water, etc.
  4. Recirculating Water Treatment: For swimming pools, recreational pools, landscape water.
  5. Reclaimed Water & Wastewater Treatment: Water reuse, car wash water, sewage discharge treatment.
  6. Aquaculture Water: For aquariums, industrial aquaculture water treatment.

(V) Working Principle

The unit is an ultra-highly integrated water lifting, filtration, and supply device. It integrates a diversion system, sludge discharge system, disinfection system, super precision filtration system, backwash system, PLC control system, VFD water supply system, and online water quality monitoring system. The raw water enters through the diversion system into the filtration and disinfection systems to remove pollutants and provide continuous sterilization, maintaining active water quality. It then enters the clean water storage system. The clean water system delivers the treated water to the supply system via VFD technology, utilizing the deep-well siphoning principle. Key water quality parameters (pH, COD, SS, etc.) of the entire system are monitored in real-time by the online monitoring system, which sends data to the PLC control system. The PLC system automatically controls all stages – filtration, backwashing, aeration, and lifting – on a 24/7 basis, transmitting all data to various terminal devices. The deep-well supply system, combined with the VFD system, provides remotely stabilized pressure water supply to all usage points. The equipment boasts an extremely high level of integration, completing all lifting, filtration, disinfection, and supply processes in one station. On-site installation merely requires connecting the inlet and outlet pipes to complete the entire water treatment system setup. Wiring, control system setup, and interconnection of all components are completed ex-works, significantly saving on installation labor costs.
